Retirement Connection offers a print and online resource guide that helps connect seniors, caregivers, families, and professionals to resources in the Greater Portland/Vancouver, Mid-Willamette Valley, Southern Oregon, and Puget Sound regions. During my time with them, we worked together to build a custom sponsor management and e-signature system, expand their e-mail and marketing automation systems, build an iPhone application, and develop an online grid listing management system.

Global Autoimmune Institute (GAI)
GAI sought to prepare for an upcoming marketing initiative that would raise awareness of autoimmune illness and maybe boost online traffic. With this new campaign, one of their main worries was how to keep website visitors interested when they arrived. Given that the homepage would receive the majority of traffic, we considered redesigning it to help maintain visitors' interest. We discovered current user interests through a quick competitor and analytics study and reorganized the already existing and relevant material to make it more visible, mobile-friendly, and easy to use. Together, we also developed a brand-new Chronic Illness Toolkit and landing page that could be utilized as an additional instrument to promote awareness, offer information, and boost traffic. The result was a higher user engagement time, decreased bounce rate, and increase in traffic and returning visitors.

Wordpress Plugin Starter Code
Simple custom blocks and post types are examples of boilerplate code that might be helpful when you need to rapidly add backend functionality to WordPress. This plugin was developed as a way to reduce repetitive scaffolding and structural code tasks by providing all the basics you will need to get started. It makes use of Composer and WP Scripts with a custom webpack overrides file to help make plugin development a little quicker and easier. It is also a place where I may sometimes experiment with different code and file structures to try out new ideas. It is maintained only in my free time.

I'm a full-stack web developer based in the Pacific Northwest who has been building websites since the early 2000s. I enjoy the challenge of working in a field that is rapidly growing and dynamic. While I have developed and overseen websites and online applications, WordPress has been my main area of expertise. A natural explorer, I spend my free time outdoors often hiking the nearby trails, checking out new eateries, curling up with a nice book and a cup of tea/coffee, or watching a new TV show/movie with a particular penchant for sci-fi and inspirational stories.
